An evening of free business finance advice with former dragon Doug Richard
June 28th 2012 will see business utility experts Make It Cheaper host ‘Save Money, Make Money’ an event aimed at small and medium business owners where sound, skilled advice on energy inefficiencies within business and boosting profitability will be offered.
The London based organisation is to wow their guest list by not only planning a truly respectable event but by obtaining the presence of one of the country’s most respected business minds.
Doug Richard, formally of BBC television show Dragon’s Den, is infamous for his business acumen and entrepreneurial style making any advice doled out by the former dragon invaluable to business owners of any size.
The event will be held at The Paintworks in Bristol’s Creative Quarter. As The host company, Make it Cheaper, aims mainly at helping the creative sector, it seems the perfect venue for a meeting place where clients and other business owners alike will be encouraged to chat, network and most importantly soak up all of the advice and guidance that will be on offer.
Make It Cheaper already helped over 3,500 companies in the Bristol area alone to save money and maximise their efficiency in areas such as energy, telecoms and insurance.
Mr Richards approved the premise of the host company as well as the event with these words of agreement, “Entrepreneurs don’t normally have a balanced view of running a business” This echoes Make It Cheaper’s mantra that there are many areas in which start-up companies could save. Doug also explained that, “entrepreneurs are obsessed with generating revenue and don’t pay nearly enough attention to cost-control”.
The agenda will start with an effective ‘Business Surgery’, led by the guest of honour where the most pressing matters in nascent business models are addressed and after more panels and workshops created in conjunction with Business West, Bristol Council, Bristol Media and Sift Media in the interest of really getting under the skin or local business problems, Mr Richards will then finish the evening with his inspiring talk ‘21st Century business – save money, make money’.
Make It Cheaper have helped businesses save an average of £88m with their service since 2007 and will continue to do so in the future. The company truly believe that start up local firms are the future of this country and want to give them as much help as possible in terms of free impartial energy, finance and telecoms advice.
